With more than 27 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries, Jitin Hingorani is a renowned international film festivals curator and content creator. He has made significant contributions to mainstream and South Asian festivals such as Tribeca, SXSW, SXSW Sydney, I-View Film Festival, Hollywood Arab Film Festival, Kashish Queer Film Festival, and his own Dallas/Fort Worth South Asian Film Festival, recognised by the Governor as ‘The MOST Innovative Small Business in Texas.’
Currently, Jitin is the co-founder and CEO of Just Kidding Ventures (JKV), his production company focused on sourcing, developing, and packaging Indo-hyphenated content, including feature films, web series, docs, and shorts, all at various stages of development. He also provides international film festival strategy for first-time and veteran filmmakers, and he’s a Senior Talent Manager for the actors’ vertical at Artisteria.
Jitin’s personal film credits include Executive Producer for the highly acclaimed feature documentary CALL ME DANCER, which received numerous awards and gained recognition through its extensive international festival circuit and theatrical release in North America; the film aired on PBS around the U.S. in June 2025. He is also the Associate Producer on the documentary ZENDE, THE SUPER COP, Creative Producer on the documentary BACK THEN, THE STORY OF LIVE MUSIC IN BOMBAY, Associate Producer on the Indo-American (Telugu/English) feature film IMPURE, Creative Producer on the LGBTQ short NIGHT QUEEN, Associate Producer on the Marathi short BLESSINGS, and Associate Producer on the sports short film ZIDDH.
In 2023, Jitin held the position of Head of Programming for the NFDC Film Bazaar, the largest film market in Asia, funded by the Government of India. He conceptualized and curated panel discussions and masterclasses on the business of cinema for the Knowledge Series and managed the Screenwriters Lab, Book to Box Office, VFX and Tech Pavilion, Work-in-Progress editing lab, and Viewing Room.
In 2018, Jitin helped launch Hotstar in the U.S. for the North American audience by securing festival partnerships, organizing multiple signature events, and garnering earned media coverage for the platform’s entertainment and sports programming.
Jitin earned his degrees in Broadcast Journalism and English from the University of Texas at Austin and Oxford University, respectively. In his spare time, he likes to binge British true crime series, his favorite genre, and check exotic destinations off his global bucket list.
