Chand Chopra is an accomplished advocate practicing in the High Court of Delhi and a solicitor of
England and Wales. A graduate of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad (Class of 2012), she initially worked in London for a few years before returning to India to establish her own practice. Chand’s practice areas include civil and commercial litigation as well as arbitration, and her dedication to the law is marked by an unwavering passion. Originally hailing from Amritsar, she embodies the spirit of her hometown as a true food enthusiast. When not immersed in her work, Chand enjoys traveling, playing badminton, and expressing herself through poetry.
Arshiya Takkar has spent a decade in the textile industry, managing her family’s women’s ethnic wear brand, Tacfab, until last year. She is currently working to establish a formal family office. Arshiya is deeply passionate about personal growth and healing, maintaining a regular practice of yoga and Reiki. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of women’s cricket and recently began writing about the sport. Her spare time is often filled with coloring, nature walks, and dancing to nostalgic Bollywood tunes from the 90s.
Chand and Arshiya’s paths crossed in June 2015, just a day after Chand relocated to Delhi. Their deep connection led to their engagement in 2019, and they gradually built a loving and supportive home, courageously navigating life together in a largely heteronormative society. The prospect of a formal wedding in India once seemed out of reach, but in December 2023, with the unwavering love and support of family and friends, they were able to celebrate their commitment to one another. Their journey of love and resilience is a testament to the power of support and serves as an inspiration to others.
Their commitment ceremony was officiated by their dear friend and yoga teacher, Apoorva, making it a truly special and meaningful occasion.
