Dharmesh Chaubey

Dharmesh (he/they) is a queer poet, translator, facilitator, and activist from Allahabad. They co-founded a queer support group in Allahabad and currently serve as the Program Lead at India Fellow.

Dharmesh’s English translation of Rohin Kumar’s Lal Chowk: The Story of the Ongoing Conflict between New Delhi and Kashmir was published in September this year. They have also contributed translations for the People’s Linguistic Survey of India, Grindr’s Sexuality Resource, and Agents of Ishq.

Their writing has appeared in The Quint, Business Standard, The Leaflet, Sadaneera, Baya, Pink Advocate, and in personal letters to many lovers.

In their downtime, they enjoy cooking for friends, indulging in cringe humor, and sleeping in.
