Marathi writer, poet and activist Disha Pinki Shaikh is the recipient of the Rutvij Kalsekar Poetry Award. In 2019 she was appointed the spokesperson for the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, a development that spoke for her belief that political change will not result from sitting on the outside.
