Maisnam Arnapal is a doctoral candidate in Feminist Studies with an interdisciplinary focus on Global & International Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a fellow at the Orfalea Center for Global Studies, Maisnam engages with research clusters on “Global Futures: Uncertainty, Security, Displacement” and “Global Genders & Sexualities.” Born in Manipur and a former teacher at the University of Delhi, his research examines peace and conflict in Manipur through a queer feminist perspective, drawing on postcolonial theory and critical disability studies.
