Ranjana Dave (she/her) is an artist and writer whose practice emerges from her movement training, research, and writing, unfolding at the intersection of text and movement. She writes about performance, culture, and society and is the author of Body/Language (TAKE on Art, 2024). Ranjana also edited the award-winning volume Improvised Futures: Encountering the Body in Performance (Tulika Books, 2021).
With an active pedagogical practice, she teaches performance practice and theory to university students and arts practitioners. Ranjana enjoys exploring how individuals build relationships with others, ideas, objects, and ecologies—what makes us social beings. Her artistic practice manifests across performance, writing, and various editorial and curatorial projects.
