Raqeeb is a writer, photographer, filmmaker, and researcher from Kolkata, currently based in Delhi, India. He is pursuing a PhD at Jamia Millia Islamia, focusing on the intersections of queer cinema and family. Much of his photographic work revolves around redefining masculinity in the Indian context, presenting an antithesis to existing representations, and highlighting queer intimacies and identities. He has been a two-time nominee for “LGBTQIA+ Voice of the Year” at the Cosmo India Blogger Awards. His photographic work has been exhibited at platforms including the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai and Khoj Studios in New Delhi. His released works include the co-directorial project Our Satrangi Jahaan, produced by Lotus Visual Productions. Currently, his co-directorial project B25, produced by Rough Edges Arts, is making the rounds at film festivals.
