Shreya Munoth is an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India and a lawyer practicing human rights law with a focus on issues of gender justice in the courts in Delhi. She holds degrees in law from National Law University, Jodhpur and the University of Oxford. Shreya began her legal career with the dispute resolution team of Shardul Amarchand Mangladas. She has also worked at the Women’s Legal Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, on developing strategic litigation around issues of feminist justice. At present, she is a Partner at Chakravorty, Samson and Munoth, undertaking wide-ranging litigation with an attempt to foreground a rights-based lens in her work. She has been involved in litigation in India seeking to advance rights of transgender persons and rights-based interpretations of statutes governing domestic violence and sexual harassment at the workplace. Shreya has been part of the legal teams in Navtej Johar and Supriyo.
